South Africa’s financial services industry accounts for a lot of adverting across various media platforms, Ornico presented some of the latest advertising spend trends in this industry at the recent AdForum. Banks took the lead with the highest spend, where findings show a decline of 38% in both the number of commercials and how much was spent.
Ornico analysed advertising data for new commercials that were aired for the first time with a focus on 1 November 2017 to 31 January in 2018, compared to 1 November 2018 up to 31 January 2019. These findings were presented at the Financial Mail AdForum which is done in association with Ornico.
